All it takes is a simple blood test. The test will assess your risk of developing type 1 diabetes. 98% of people will have a negative test result and can be reassured that their risk is very low.

The Type 1 Diabetes Prevention Trial

is testing if a nasal insulin spray vaccine can prevent type 1 diabetes.

Are there any side effects?

An earlier safety trial of the nasal vaccine conducted in children and young adults at risk of developing type 1 diabetes revealed no significant side-effects.
